Living Earth, a great universal app for $2.59.
Upon launch, you are presented with a beautifully rendered Earth, zooming to front, (sorry, no google Earth here) showing your current location with real time night/day effects.
The App is basically a world clock and weather app. It gives information such as temperature, high & low, sun rise & sun set, wind speed and real time (though updated at intervals), cloud effects, plus a lovely icon representing the days assessment.
Tapping on the days weather details, the window expands to reveal next for 4 days predictions. Tapping again on any of the days then reveals the weather changes for that days, broken down into 2 hour intervals.
Information on the App is updated upon launch, however, you can also tap refresh if you feel the need.
As for customization, you can have multiple towns or cities loaded for quick access. By simply tapping the time/town/city details, your preloaded choices are presented. You can change information such as wind speed (km/h or m/s or knots), temoerature, and how clouds are managed as well as gestures.
This App is great on the iPhone 4s, but looks amazing on the iPad 3rd Gen. For the price (being universal), and for the features, it is easily superior to the standard weather App on your iDevice. Highly recommended.
