Terms of Service

I understand that as part of the testing process ubertec requires to restore my iPod which will delete any data. I have backed up any data that I do not wish to lose, prior to sending the unit to ubertec.

Ubertec will take all reasonable care while performing any repair or data transfer but ubertec will not be liable for insurance cover, any loss or damage incurred as a result of unintentional loss or unauthorized dissemination of data, or loss of business while goods are in ubertec's possession. I understand that I am solely and ultimately responsible for my data and/or any software on my equipment.

I understand that an inspection fee applies to all non-warranty repairs*, even if I choose not to go ahead with repair. This includes if ubertec are unable to re-create the specified fault i.e. no fault found. Even if the equipment is within the warranty period, if the fault fits the non warranty criteria an inspection fee may apply. Inspection fees are $46 for iPods.

I understand if I do not collect my equipment from ubertec within 4 (four) months that it will be assumed that the equipment is abandoned and will either be disposed of or sold to recover outstanding charges.

I have signing authority to request ubertec to conduct service work on the equipment identified above. (i.e. if you are not the bill payer, that you have permission from the bill payer to request this service work).

Diagnosis and or repair may uncover unrecognized faults or aggravate existing faults which could potentially result in limiting functionality or rendering your product non-operational. Übertec Limited will not be liable for any loss or damage incurred as a result of unintentional loss in functionality.

Equipment is left with Übertec Limited at my risk. In the event of theft I may need to claim against my own insurance.

I understand that my details maybe provided to the equipment manufacturer if this repair is under the manufacturer's warranty.

During diagnosis of warranty and out-of-warranty repairs diagnostic data and contact information may be sent to the product manufacturer.
